Biblical World View

What is meant by "worldview"?  The American Heritage Dictionary defines "worldview" as follows: "The overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world."

Each culture has its own worldview.  Our worldview contains the following elements.

• Jehovah is the supreme god of the universe.

• The universe was created by Jehovah.

• Jehovah is all-knowing, all-powerful and present everywhere.

• Jehovah's truth is the truth.

• Human beings were created to have fellowship with God.

• Satan is a real being who was once a high-ranking angel.

• Satan rebelled against God.

• Satan is seeking to overthrow God's kingdom.

• Many years ago the first humans followed Satan in his rebellion against God.

• God sent His Son Jesus into the world to make a way for humans to leave the Kingdom of Satan and return to the Kingdom of God.

• Everyone who repents of their sins and follows Jesus will be transferred from the Kingdom of Satan to the Kingdom of God.
